There is another leak has broken out that the Mediatek dimensity 8100 SOC will be capable to Run a 200 megapixels Camera. It is very normal as it compits with Snapdragon 888. Last year’s Snapdragon 888 was able to support 176MP sensor. Though there is no phone till that offers more than 108 megapixels.
But in 2022, we can expect some smartphone which will offer 200Megapixel camera setup. As the past records of mediatek, their soc costs less than Snapdragon. That is why we can buy mediatek powered smartphones with a little less money than Snapdragon powered phones.
If this continues this time, we can expect experiencing 200mp camera in midrange segmant smartphones.
