Vivo X80 will come with SONY IMX866 sensor! Big Upgrade!

VIVO X Series smartphones are focused on camera performance. Last year’s VIVO X70 series was a massive success for VIVO. The phones of the Vivo X70 series performed very well in terms of capturing images.

The VIVO X70 and X70 Pro offered Sony IMX766 image sensor. The VIVO X70 Pro + offered the Samsung GN1 flagship sensor which performs better in low light as well as managing dynamic range.

But there will be a massive upgrade in the upcoming VIVO X80. According to some recent leaks, Sony will launch its latest IMX866 sensor soon. Probably the first phone with this sensor will be the VIVO X80.

Ice Universe tweeted that VIVO X80 will come with a Sony IMX866 RGBW sensor.

Another leak by Digital Chat Station revealed some technical information about the Sony IMX866 sensor. The size of the IMX866 sensor will be 1/1.49″ and the aspect ratio will be 16:11 for video. But the aspect ratio will be cut to 4:3 when clicking still images.
